A scenic farm pond in Fayette County was the setting for the May 17 wedding of Maggie Marie Carter and Roy K. Rucker.

Officiating was the Rev. Joel Hess of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Chillicothe.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Carter, of Greenfield, and is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Carter, Oak Hill. She is a graduate of Wright State University and is employed by Whited, Seigneur, Sams and Rahe CPA’s.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Rucker, of Chillicothe. He is a graduate of Hocking College and is employed with the State of Ohio as a wildlife officer.

The bride carried a bouquet of blue hydrangea and white roses tipped in blue.

The maid of honor, Anne Carter, sister of the bride, was dressed in royal blue and carried a single purple hydrangea.

Kess Cline was the flower girl.

A friend of the groom, Chris Roshon, served as best man.

The ring bearer was Sam Hess and Greg Ramsey was the trumpeter.

The couple was airlifted to their reception by helicopter.

The couple honeymooned in Australia and New Zealand.
