ASHLAND, Ky. — Lindsey Carl Webb, 70, of Ashland, went to be with the Lord Friday morning, Oct. 24, 2008, at his home. Lindsey was born Feb. 3, 1938, in Lawrence County, Ohio, a son of the late John Boone and Bertha Little Webb.
Lindsey was a retired administrative clerk with AK steel and an ordained minister, having pastored at Palestine, Royersville and Myrtle Tree churches. He also served as secretary for 13 years for the Ohio Missionary Baptist Association in Lawrence County.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Webb; a brother, Robert Webb; and a sister, Arvilla Patrick.
He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Carolyn Leadingham Riel Webb; two daughters, Carla (Dannie) Saunders of Worthington, Ohio, and Juanita Webb of Columbus; two sons, Lindsey C. Webb II (Kathy) of Pedro and Wesley (Karen) Riel of Richmond, Ky.; a brother, James (Fern) Webb of Catlettsburg; three sisters, Barbara Ann Collins and Betty K. Webb, both of South Point, and Mary Dudding of Ironton; 12 grandchildren, Josh Webb, Caleb Webb, Ashley Webb, Nolan (Katiy) Saunders, Nathaniel (Chelsea) Saunders, Noa Saunders, Noelle Saunders, Sophia Webb, Nicholas Webb, Braden Riel, Addison Riel, and Jenna Riel; two great grandchildren, Evie Lewis and Braden Carl Saunders; and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. Caniff Funeral Home with Pastors Jim Nichols and Bob Dudding officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. Friends may call today from 6-9 p.m. and an hour before service.
