Ironton police

Prowlers — 2000 block North Third Street Friday, negative contact.

Suspicious person— 600 block Mill Street Friday, two boys with shovels reportedly lurking near water meters, negative contact.

Assault — End Zone Saturday, man reportedly assaulted, possible suspect named, victim declined medical assistance, advised.

Accident— 1600 block South Fourth Street Saturday, parked car struck by passing vehicle, two people inside reportedly fled scene on foot, vehicle towed, one suspect located and taken to police station.

Breaking and entering — 300 block South Eighth Street Sunday, residence entered, DVDS and video game staken.

Trouble — Frogtown, South Third Street Sunday, person causing trouble reportedly left prior to officer’s arrival.

Breaking and entering — Vicinity of Rax restaurant and Auger Inn, South Third Street Sunday, vehicle entered, item taken.

DUI — Vicinity of Third and Kemp streets Sunday, Dwayne A. Riggle, 36, 2108 S. Fourth St., Ironton, arrested and taken to jail.

Trouble — Shenanigan’s, South Third Street Sunday, person causing trouble reportedly left prior to officer’s arrival.

Assault — Fuzzy Duck, Center Street landing Sunday, man reportedly assaulted, taken to area hospital.

Trouble— 300 block North Second Street Sunday, leg seen in attic, attic searched, nothing unusual found.

Fight— 800 block Walnut Street Sunday, 16-year-old boy reportedly threatened.

Check on vehicle — Liebert Corp., 3040 S. Ninth St. Sunday, vehicle on lot without permission, vehicle located and towed.

— William T. Stambaugh, 18, 1408 S. Seventh St., Ironton, trafficking in marijuana and tampering with evidence Sunday by the Ironton Police Department.

— Ryan A. Allen, 19, 2629 S. Ninth St., Ironton, trafficking in marijuana and tampering with evidence Sunday by the Ironton Police Department.

— Kenneth Stapleton, 45, 707 Mastin Ave., Ironton, outstanding warrant Friday by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.

— William R. Stapleton, 26, 372 Township Road 332, Ironton, outstanding warrant Sunday by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.

— Jeremy D. Walters, 30, Huntington, W.Va., outstanding warrant Friday by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.

— Gerald L. Thompson, 38, 572 Township Road 126, Scottown, commitment Friday by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
