SOUTH POINT — Danny F. Harless, 73, of South Point, went home to be with the Lord, March 24, 2009, from Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.
Danny was born Aug. 24, 1935, in Wayne Co., W.Va., a son of the late Frank B. and Mabel Brammer Harless.
He was a graduate of Chesapeake High School and was retired as a chemical operator from Aristech after 35 years. Danny served in the U.S. Army, was a member of the Old Codger Construction Company, and attended Burlington Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Gracie Willis.
Danny is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sally Willis Harless; four children and their spouses, Tarissa and Michael Beaver, Tammy and Claude Cornelius, Danelle and Scott Shelton, and George and Kathy Willis; six granddaughters, Derecia (Bastiaan) Aarts, Sarah (Joshua) Blankenship, Chera (Daniel) McGuire, Rebecca (Johnathon) Whiteman, Samantha Shelton, and Sydney Shelton; two great granddaughters, Audrie and Aryanna; one sister and brother-in-law, Delores and C.E. Wetherall; two brothers-in-law, Isom Willis and Billy (Bertha) Willis; one sister-in-law, Iva Willis; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with Pastors Jeff Huff and Paul Dillow officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point.
