Local students receive scholarship

LEXINGTON, Ky. —Robert Burgess, a graduate of South Point High School and Anna Marie C. Roa, who was homeschooled in South Point, Ohio, have been awarded a National Excellence Partial Scholarship to attend the University of Kentucky this fall.

Burgess is the son of Tim and Lisa Burgess. Roa is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. R. Arturo Roa.

The National Excellence Partial Scholarship is awarded to out-of-state students and has a total value of $18,000. The scholarship is awarded in $4,500 increments for four years at UK.
