CIT announces pairings
Published 4:31am Monday, March 15, 2010NEW YORK — George Mason and Harvard are among 16 teams in the College Insider.com tournament.
The CIT field was revealed late Sunday night on the Web site collegeinsider.com.
George Mason (17-14) will host Fairfield (22-10) in the first round Tuesday.
Harvard (21-7) will play at Appalachian State (22-12) on Wednesday.
The other first-round matchups are South Dakota at Creighton; Western Carolina at Marshall; Middle Tennessee State at Missouri State; Portland at Northern Colorado; Pacific at Loyola Marymount; and Southern Mississippi at Louisiana Tech.
The field is made up of schools that were left out of the NCAA tournament and the NIT. Old Dominion won the first CIT last year.
