Everyone’s invited to participate in a Briggs Lawrence County Public Library book discussion group. Four branch library groups meet monthly and the library also sponsors a group at the Sybene Senior Center.

It’s easy to get started. Simply check out the upcoming month’s book from your local Briggs Library, read it and then join us at our monthly meeting for our lively discourse. For information, contact you local branch.

This week, the South Point branch library’s group will talk about “Hissy Fit” by Mary Kay Andrews at 11 a.m. Tuesday. On Thursday, the Ironton library evening group will discuss “The Bone Garden” by Tess Gerritsen at 6 p.m.

Everyone interested in learning to crochet as well as those already experienced at the craft is invited to the Crochet Club at the Southern Branch Library in South Point at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Beginners should bring a “G” or “H” hook and yarn. Experienced crafters may bring a current project. For information call (740) 377-2288.
