Eugene “Butch” Wickline

Eugene “Butch” Wickline, 64, of Ironton, passed away at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 13, 2010. Graveside services were held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Woodland Cemetery with the VFW Post 8850 performing the ceremonies.

The Ironton native was born Dec. 9, 1945, to the late Dempsey Wickline and Harriett M. Johnson Wickline Redmond.

He was a disabled Army veteran being decorated with the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart while serving three tours in Vietnam. He was preceded in death by a brother, James C. Redmond.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Wilson Wickline; a stepson, D.J. Brown of Bowling Green, Ky.; three brothers, David and Bea Wickline of Phoenix, Ariz., Randy and Kristy Redmond of Pedro and Dale Redmond of Indiana; and many nieces and nephews.
