ASHLAND, Ky. — Eva Josephine Dickess, 92, of Ashland, Ky. went to her eternal home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011. She was born on Feb. 7, 1919, in Lawrence County.

She was preceded in death by her parents Bert and Birdie Langdon Simpson; her beloved husband David Harold Dickess; two brothers Cosper Simpson and Merlin Simpson; two sisters Inez Simpson Kelley, Irene Simpson Robinson and her daughter-in-law Donna Johnson Dickess.

She is survived by her son, Carl Keith Dickess of Kitts Hill; three grandchildren Kenneth Dickess of Ironton, Deborah Erby Fosson of Kitts Hill, and Keith Lee Dickess of Kitts Hill; three great grandchildren Audrey and Olivia Fosson of Kitts Hill, and Kendall Johnson of Ironton; and several nieces and nephews.  She was a member of Myrtle Ridge Missionary Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday by Pastor Norman Carrico at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville.  Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Ironton.  Visitation will be held 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville.  Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
