Stephenson
Published 12:00am Sunday, May 29, 2011Billy R. and Ruth M. Stephenson will celebrate, of Ironton, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary June 3.
They were married June 3, 1961, at Union Baptist Church, Kitts Hill, by the Rev. Jack Baldwin.
Mr. Stephenson is the son of the late Charles and Caroline Stephenson. He retired from Semet Solvay and Hecla Water.
Mrs. Stephenson is the daughter of the late Frank and Gladys Dickess. She retired from Lawrence County Job And Family Services and is church secretary for First Church Of The Nazarene Ironton.
They have one son, Charles David “Chuck” Stephenson of Orange, Calif.
In honor of their golden wedding anniversary, a reception will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, June 5 at First Church of the Nazarene, 2318 S. Fourth St., Ironton. The couple requests no gifts.
