SOUTH POINT — Patricia Mae Childers, 62, of South Point, passed away Saturday Aug. 13, 2011, at a local health care facility.

The Sevierville, Tenn., native was born Nov. 5, 1948 the daughter of the late Wesley and Louise Gee Wallace.

Patricia attended Sevierville schools and was a self-employed homemaker. She attended Sunrise Nazarene Church in South Point.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Wallace and a sister-in-law, Teresa Webb.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Childers Jr., whom she married Sept. 9, 1975; a daughter, Jennifer Childers and Ritchie Alan Blevins of South Point; a brother-in-law, Tom and Dawn Webb of Kankakee, Ill.; a brother-in-law, Melvin and Freda Childers of Magnolia, Texas; a sister-in-law, Patty and Darrell Blake of Chesapeake; a sister-in-law, Debbie and Richard Hensley of Ashland, Ky.; a brother-in-law, Kenny Webb of South Point; a brother-in-law, Bob Webb of South Point; a brother-in-law, Ronnie Remy of Ironton; a step daughter, Denise Childers of Montgomery, Ala.; a granddaughter, Caitlin Childers, also of Montgomery; a caregiver, Angel Adaire of Ironton and numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hayes-Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Lee Cremeans officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
