Raymond Waller

Raymond Garland Waller, 87, of Ironton passed away Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011, at home with his loving daughter Brenda and great granddaughter Brooke at his side.

He was born Dec 8, 1923, in Deering to the late George and Maymie Melvin Waller.

He was a veteran of World War II serving with the Tenth Mountain division 85 C., life member of West Jefferson VFW Post 7005, a member of Masonic lodge # 221 West Jefferson, a member of Aladdin Shrine Club, Columbus, the Horse Traders of Rush, Ky., past Patron of Order of Eastern Star serving three terms, member of the Kentucky Colonels. He was a member of the Labor International Union working construction, and an employee at Allied Chemical.

He was preceded in death by three wives, Wilma Marie Waller, Glenna Waller and Carol Porter Waller; two brothers, John Waller and George Waller; and two sisters, Beatrice Willis and Hazel Campbell.

Survivors include daughters, Brenda Bare of Ironton and Julia and Albert Clay of Land of Lake Fla.; step daughters, Ramona and Joe Fleming of Fredericktown and Christine and David Ott of Alexandria; grandchildren include Jerry Lee and Michelle Bear of West Jefferson, Monique and Paul Jacobsen, Tony Clay, Jeff and Melissa Clay, Fontz Clay, Ray and Francis Clay, all of Auburndale, Fla., Missy and Keith Hume, Angela and Ryan Thornton, Joey Fleming, Mandi and Ray Hubschman; 12 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home. Masonic services will be at 7 p.m. Interment will be at noon Friday at Sunset Cemetery, 6959 W. Broad St. Galloway.

Philip Boggs

Philip R. Boggs, 64, of Ironton, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital, Russell, Ky. A private memorial service will be at the convenience of his family. Arrangements are under the direction of Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home.

Joseph C. Eastham, 62, of Ironton, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011, at King’s Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Ky. Arrangements are pending at the Tracy Brammer – Monroe Funeral Home.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Ernest Albert Reed, 90, of Huntington, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Hall Funeral Home.
