Harold F. and Betty J. (Griffth) Brown celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Oct. 21, 2011. There were married in Ironton at First Baptist Church on Oct. 21, 1951. They are lifelong residents of Ironton.

Harold is retired from Allied Chemical Corporation where he was employed as a chemical engineer in the research department. Betty is retired as a church secretary from First Baptist Church in Ironton. They continue to be active members at First Baptist Church.

They have two sons, Richard and Timothy Brown and two daughters-in-law, Suzanne and Vivian Brown. They have seven grandchildren, Sam Breckenridge, Sarah Brown, Garrett Brown, Stephanie Brown Stelzer, Christopher Brown, Jessica Brown and Jason Brown, grandson-in-law Jonathon Stelzer and a great-grandson, Caleb Stelzer.
