King’s Daughters Invites Community to Open House Celebration

King’s Daughters Medical Center will celebrate the opening of its newest location in Proctorville, Ohio, with an open house on Wednesday, Nov. 16 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 6276 County Road 107.

Community members are invited to attend and meet the cardiologist Tina Sias, M.D., and family nurse practitioner Jan Rule – and participate in a free healthy heart with EKG screening.

The event will also feature:

• Tours of KDMC’s brand-new Mobile Health Unit

• Stress lab tours

• Opportunities to learn about KDMC Home Medical Equipment and Women’s Boutique

• MyPlate nutritional education for children

• Door prize drawings

• A variety of hors d’oeuvres by Café on the Run

The new office in Proctorville offers both family care and cardiology from one convenient location in the Kroger plaza. Services include:

• Cardiac stress testing

• EKGs

• Echocardiography

• Holter monitoring

• ABI studies

• Laboratory draw

• Mobile mammography

• MyChart electronic health record

Cardiologist Tina Sias, M.D. earned her medical degree from Marshall University in 1992, and completed internship and residency at The Ohio State University Medical Center. She completed fellowship training in cardiology at Marshall.

Dr. Sias is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with a subspecialty certification in cardiovascular disease. She previously was in practice in Huntington, W.Va., associated with Marshall University.

Nurse practitioner Jan Rule will see patients for their primary care needs Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Rule has been with King’s Daughters since 2005, during which time she cared for critically ill medical, surgical and neurosurgical patients. She previously practiced at King’s Daughters Family Care Center in Burlington.

She earned both her Master’s in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner and her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree from Marshall University. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
