ASHLAND, Ky. — The $1 million winner of “America’s Got Talent” is coming to the Paramount, Tuesday, Dec. 27 at 7:30 p.m.

Landau Eugene Murphy Jr., a Logan, W.Va. native, was awarded the show’s top prize in September with his impressive performances of Frank Sinatra’s “My Way” and Dean Martin’s “Ain’t That a Kick in the Head.”

This 37-year old has captured the hearts of America with his down-to-earth nature and incredible voice and just last week performed at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas.

Tickets to his Ashland performance are $30, $40 and $45 and will go on sale to the public, Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the Paramount box office by calling 606.324.3175 or online at

This performance is presented by WKEE and is sponsored by Mrs. Margaret Adkins, Fannin Automotive Family, Judy Jennings, Marathon Petroleum Company, Town Square Bank, Clear Channel Communications and WSAZ.

If tickets go on sale Tuesday morning, how is it that the show was sold out 2 days ago? I read in the Herald Dispatch the same date of sale, so I think the Paramount should explain this to the public. I was very upset to log on and find out it was already sold out. A second show has been scheduled for the next night, and tickets are already availble for purchase. Had I not randomly looked at the PAC website, I would have missed out on the second show as well.
