Hanging Rock Police, other agencies make drug bust

Published 9:14am Monday, April 9, 2012

HANGING ROCK — On April 7 at about 11:30 p.m., officers with the Hanging Rock Police Department with assistance from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and Coal Grove Police Department arrested David Hansard of Columbus, Hollie Davis of Barboursville, W.Va., Angela Cooper of Huntington W.Va., and Courtney Mitchell of Huntington, for multiple drug charges including felony possession of cocaine, crack cocaine and oxycodone.

All subjects were transported to the Lawrence County Jail. More charges are possibly pending after consultation with the Lawrence County Prosecutors Office.

Hanging Rock Police would like to thank all agencies involved. Hanging Rock would especially like to thank the Lawrence County K-9 and Ironton PD K-9 units for their continued cooperation and prompt responses when needed.

Hanging Rock Police Chief Chris Steed said, “This is what it takes, all agencies working together to take drugs off the streets.”
