Lady Vikings post 13-1 win

AID — The Symmes Valley Lady Vikings made everything add up.

The Lady Vikings combined five hits, 11 walks and nine errors to post a 13-1 five-inning win over the St. Joseph Female Flyers on Wednesday in the Division IV sectional tournament.

Katie Hill hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning to highlight the Lady Vikings’ hitting. Kari Brumbaugh, Autumn Keathley and Hill all went 1-2 while Hannah Roach and Brenna Morris were 1-3.

Hannah Maynard struck out eight, walked six and gave up just one hit to get the win.

Sarah Neal was 1-3 for St. Joseph.

Symmes Valley plays at 11 a.m. Saturday in the sectional finals at Reedsville Eastern.
