HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — It’s “fore” times two.

The 30th annual Tri-State Junior Golf Tour gets underway the first week of June and there are eight tournament events scheduled this season.

There are three divisions for golfers. Youths in age group 10-12 play nine holes while youths in age groups 13-15 and 16-18 play 18 holes.

Entry fee is $35 for the older groups and $28 for the 10-12 division. Fees include green fees and lunch. Checks should be made payable to TSJGT, not the golf course.

Entries must be hand delivered to the host course by 5 p.m. two days prior to the even or mailed to TSJGT, 1172 Kent Street, Portsmouth, OH 45662. A separate entry form is required for each tournament.

To receive a refund, cancellation must be made 24 hours before each event.

A player of the year will be selected in each age group. Players are awarded on a point system based on tour events they participate and their place in each event.

Soft spikes are required on all courses. Shirst with collars or mock turtlenecks are required and no cut-off jeans, basketball-type trunks. Hats and visors must be worn with brim forward.

Joe VanDeusen and son, Jason, are the new directors. For more information, contact them at (740) 285-5004.
