An anonymous call to a probation officer led authorities to find marijuana plants growing in the backyard of an Ironton home.

Terry A. Taylor, Jr., 23, of 912 Center St., was charged with illegal manufacture of drugs or cultivation after Ironton Police officers and a probation officer followed up on the tip and Taylor allegedly admitted to growing the plants.

According to the police report, IPD officer Mitch Crum said Taylor allegedly admitted to growing the plants in buckets and showed them to the officers.

Taylor allegedly told officers the plants were for his own personal use.

Police Chief Jim Carey said the plants were taken into evidence and Taylor was cited to appear in Ironton Municipal Court today.
