Traffic stop leads to heroin bust

LUCASVILLE — An Ironton man is facing felony drug charges following a traffic stop Wednesday in Scioto County.

Mark A. Eubanks, 30, was charged with second-degree trafficking and possession of heroin.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol stopped a 2001 Cadillac Deville on U.S. 23 northbound near Lucasville at about 6:52 p.m. Wednesday evening. The car was stopped for following to close and marked lanes violations.

A press release stated troopers observed criminal indicators as they approached the vehicle. A search of the driver revealed 15 grams of heroin and $1,440 cash. The approximate street value of the heroin is $1,800, the release stated.

Eubanks was arrested and taken to the Scioto County Jail.
