Sheriff’s office

Domestic — Perry Township, 8:51 p.m. Wednesday, allegedly intoxicated subject damaging residence, Cecil E. McClellan, 37, 92 Township Road 1366, South Point, arrested and taken to jail.

Domestic — Rome Township, 12:39 a.m. June 13, man reportedly kicked out of residence after allegedly smoking synthetic marijuana around children allegedly became angry, broke window, Daniel E. Blount, 30, 157 Township Road 1055, Proctorville, arrested and taken to jail.

Theft — 200 block Private Drive 4649, Ironton, 4:10 p.m. June 20, cash, jewelry, fishing pole taken, suspect named.

Petty theft — 300 block County Road 3, Chesapeake, 2:32 p.m. June 21, spare tire and wheel taken.

Theft — 1000 block County Road 30, Kitts Hill, 4:30 p.m. June 23, four-wheeler taken.

Theft — 6000 block County Road 1, South Point, 3:01 p.m. June 22, firearms taken from residence.

Breaking and entering — Tipton’s Mini-mart, State Route 93, 3:18 a.m. Monday, front of store smashed in by vehicle, 10 cartons of cigarettes and several rolls of snuff taken.

Breaking and entering — Grandview Grocery, 100 block County Road 450, South Point, 9:15 a.m. June 22, money taken.

 

Ironton police

Incident — 300 block South Third Street, 12:55 a.m. Tuesday, tire found lying in middle of street, removed by police, officer noted he had removed a tire from middle of street in same location previous night, premises watched by officers, two female juveniles and one male spotted putting tire back in street in flow of traffic, confronted by officers. Officers noted in report strong odor of alcohol present in girls. One girl said she was “trying to be cool” and admitted she had put the tire in the street the last couple of nights, taken to police station and released to parents, according to report.
