Ironton sports festival Aug. 16-18

The Ironton High School Sports Festival will be held Aug. 16-18.

On Aug. 16, a mandatory OHSAA meeting for players and parents will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. A Meet the Tigers will be held on the high school lawn at 6:30.

On Aug. 17, a golf tournament will be held at 9 a.m. at the Ironton Country Club. Free is $200 per foursome. Anyone interested should contact Nate Kline at (740) 533-7719. The Jamboree game at Coal Grove will be at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, a 5K run/walk will be held starting at 9 a.m. The run/walk will start at Ironton High School. Pre-registration fee is $15 and $20 after Aug. 12. Race day registration will start at 8 a.m.

Also on Saturday a craft show will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Conley Sports Center. A 10×10 booth is $25. Interested persons should contact Valerie Freeman at (740) 533-7462.

Inflatables will be available for children from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Tanks Memorial Stadium.

Zumba will be held at 10 am. In the Conley Center and it is free.

A “Sweet Treat” auction will be held at 11 a.m., also in the Conley Center.

At noon a “Meet the Ironton Youth Football” will be held in the Conley Center..

Saturday evening beginning at 7 p.m. the Hall of Fame dinner will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Cost is $15 for single and $25 for couples in advance. Cost at the door is $20 for single and $30 for a couple.
