Dragons top Pointers in duel golf match

LAVELETTE, W.Va. — The Fairland Dragons picked up a win on Tuesday against the South Point Pointers in a golf match between Ohio Valley Conference teams at Sugarwood Golf Course.

Fairland had a 181 team total while the Pointers had a 209 score.

Baily Manns shot a 44 to earn medalist honors for Fairland. Hayden James and Tyler Blake were just one-shot back while Hunter Schenewark had a 47.

Also playing for Fairland were Patrick McCoy with a 53 and Blake Kersetter with a 54.

Kyle Goodson shot a 51 to pace the Pointers. Caleb Jones and Austin Wellman each carded a 52 and Madison Riley shot a 54.

The Pointers’ Barbara Collins had a 59 and Brandon Loden a 69.
