Marinda Craiger

Marinda Craiger, 92 of Ironton, passed away Monday, Sept. 3, 2012, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. The Prichard, W.Va., native was born Oct. 2, 1919, the daughter of the late Lindsey and Roberta Brookie Mead Perry.

She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Asa Craiger who passed away Nov. 12, 1992.

Mrs. Craiger was a graduate of Kenova High School and Marshall University. She was a home economics teacher for Rock Hill School District and Dawson Bryant School District for many years. She was a member of the Eastern Star, the South Point Chapter and was of the Protestant faith.

She is survived by her son, Irving Craiger of Ironton.

Ruth M. Jones Goodall, 92, of Proctorville, died Sunday Sept. 2, 2012, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, W.Va. Funeral service will be noon Friday at Hall Funeral Home, by Pastor Mark Roach with special readings by Kurt Stevens and Paul Drake. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point. Visitation will be 11 a.m. – noon Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice.  Charlotte Jenkins-Orr

Charlotte Jenkins-Orr, 76, of Ashland, Ky., formerly of Lexington, Ky., died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Carman in Russell with the Rev. Sandy Adams officiating. Graveside service and burial will follow after 2 p.m. Friday at the Lexington Cemetery in Lexington Ky. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Betty Comer, 83, of Ironton, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, at a local health care facility. Arrangements are pending at Phillips Funeral Home.
