Freddie Hayes Sr.

Freddie Lee Hayes, Sr., 75, of Scottown, passed away doing what he loved best, going after produce Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, W.Va. He was born Oct. 11, 1936, in Lawrence County, son of the late William and Virginia Dunfee Hayes.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Hayes and Glen Hayes; and one sister, Betty Hayes.

He is survived by one son Freddie, Jr. and his wife Bethany Hayes of Proctorville; Freddie, Jr.’s mother, Patty Hayes; two special granddaughters, Kayla and Meranda Hayes; a special friend, Althaliene Alberts; and so many great and special friends too numerous to name individually.

He owned and operated Chesapeake Ford and Huntington fruit and produce terminal. He was a retired superintendent from Symmes Valley High School. Freddie, Sr.’s greatest passion for the last 60 years was selling produce and all of his customers and friends he met there. Freddie, Sr. was loved dearly and will be missed by all who knew him.

Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, by Pastor Ray Vance. Burial will follow in Perkins Ridge Cemetery, Willow Wood. Visitation will be 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday at Hall Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Rusty Hunt, David Rowe, Danny Holschuh, Sonny Dornon, Kenny Artrip, Dave Bennett, Rick Love, Brent Gool and J.D. Charles Boggs

Charles E. (Chuck) Boggs Jr., 55 of Largo, Fla., died Monday, Sept. 3, 2012. He is survived by his mother Janet Boggs; daughter, Amy Boggs; partner, Kevin Curtis; three sisters; one brother and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Charles (Mutt) Boggs, Sr. Arrangements were handled by National Cremation Society, Clearwater, Fla.

 

Clarence Fairchild

Clarence Fairchild, 83 of Raceland Ky., died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at his residence. He was the husband of Loretta Fairchild, who survives. Funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday at Worthington Church of the Nazarene. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Carman Funeral Home-Flatwoods. Dorothy Malone

Dorothy Malone, 90, of Ironton, died on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. Arrangements are pending O’Keefe Baker Funeral Home.

 

 Myrtle Rice

Myrtle Marie Rice, 65, of South Point, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012 at her residence. Funeral will be 2:30 today at Hall Funeral Home. Visitation is 1:30-2:30 today at the funeral home.
