Jean Dutey

Jean Marie Dutey of Ironton died on Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. She was born in Ironton, the daughter of the late Theodore William Riedel and Anna Margaret O’Keefe Riedel.

She was a member of St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church and the Izaak Walton League. Jean devoted her life to the service of others through her dedication in the nursing profession for more than 40 years. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Lynn Dutey of Jacksonville, Fla., and Kimberly Dutey of South Point; one son, Timothy Shawn Dutey of Cincinnati; one sister, Mary Margaret Unrue of Ironton; two brothers, James Riedel and Theodore Riedel, both of Ironton; one grandson, Christopher Shawn Dutey of Cincinnati; her life partner, Otto Douglas Graham of Ironton; and one granddog BayLee.

Funeral Mass will be noon Wednesday at St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church with Father David Huffman officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home. Rosary will be held at 8:30p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Donations can be made to Ashland Bellefonte Cancer Center.

 

Barbara Malone

Barbara Ruth Malone, 71, of Pedro, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012. Arrangements are pending at Brown Funeral Chapel.

Roland Jackson

Roland Junior Jackson, 66, of Ashland, Ky., died Friday, Sept. 5, 2012, at his home. Arrangements are pending at Brown Funeral Chapel.

 

Helen Burkhardt

Helen Virginia Burkhardt, 86, of Wurtland, Ky., died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. Funeral will be at noon Tuesday at Grace United Methodist Church, Raceland, Ky., with the Rev. Don Young and the Rev. Phillip Nunley. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens. Visitation is after 11 a.m Tuesday. Evans Funeral Home, Raceland, is in charge of arrangements.

 

John Sherman

John F. Sherman, 65, of South Point, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at St. Mary’s Medical Center.  Arrangements are pending at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point.

Donald Kennedy

Donald Francis Kennedy, 81, of Worthington, Ky., died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at his home. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Evans Funeral Home in Raceland, Ky., with Bishop Henry Montgomery. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens. Military graveside services will be conducted by the American Legion Post 93, of Kenova, W.Va. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
