RV tops Pointers in golf

LAVALETTE, W.Va. — The River Valley Raiders got past the South Point Pointers in a duel golf match Wednesday at Sugarwood Golf Course.

River Valley had a 195 total while the Pointers finished at 216.

Caleb Jones led the Pointers as he carded a 46 to finish two shots behind the Raiders Dan Goodrich who took medalist honors.

Austin Wellman had a 55, Madison Riley 56 and Kyle Goodson 57 to complete the South Point scoring. Barbara Collins had a 60 and Brandon Loden 79 for the Pointers.

Besides Goodrich, Zach Morris and Jordan Howell each had a 49, and Jacob Gilmore 51. Logan Sheets shot a 54 and Cliff Chapman 67.
