Huntington wins golf match with Ironton, SP

LAVALETTE, W.Va. — The Huntington Highlanders won a golf tri-match Wednesday against the Ironton Fighting Tigers and South Point Pointers at Sugarwood Golf Course.

Huntington had a 158 team score while Ironton shot a 209 and South Point 211.

Jaylen Thornhill led Ironton with a 43. Cory Rawlins had a 50, Travis Taylor 52 and Brody Storms carded a 64.

Caleb Jones shot a 48 to pace the Pointers. Madison Riley was next with a 49 followed by Austin Wellman with a 56, Barbara Collins 58, Kyle Goodson 59 and Brandon Loden 67.

Huntington’s trio of Thomas Frazer, Chase Toppins and Nick Nolan all shot a 39. Alec Atha had a 41, Fisher Cross 43 and Todd Childers 47.
