Chesy girls blank HSJ

SPRING VALLEY, W.Va. — Carly McFarland scored the only goal of the game as the Chesapeake Lady Panthers beat the Huntington St. Joseph Lady Fighting Irish 1-0 Friday in a soccer game.

McFarland used an assist from Jackie Nelson to score with 75:00 on the second half clock.

Jillian Ellis had 13 goalkeeper saves for Chesapeake.

The win for the Lady Panthers was their first-ever against the Lady Irish.

Chesapeake (4-4-1) plays at Sherman, W.Va., on Monday.
