Lady Tigers drop 3 games

The Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers dropped three volleyball games over a two-day period.

The Lady Tigers lost 23-25,25-21, 25-16 and 25-16 at Raceland, Ky., on Thursday.

In a tri-match on Saturday, Ironton lost 25-2, 25-6 to state-ranked Zane Trace and fell 25-15, 25-21 to Wellston.

“This past weekend show our girls where we are right now and where we need to be if we want to do well in the tournament,” said Ironton coach Beth Campbell.

Ironton plays at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday against Portsmouth and hosts Greenup County, Ky., at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

The sectional tournament drawing will be Sunday.
