Thomas Shope

Thomas L. Shope, Jr., 30, of Deshler, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at Wood County Hospital, Bowling Green. He was born October 19, 1981, in Bowling Green.

He is survived by his mother, Maria Cuevas Shope of Deshlerl; his father, Thomas Shope, Sr., of Pedro; brother, Scott (Jennifer) DeLong of Deshler; sister, Toni (Brian) Ohr of Biloxi, Miss.; sister, Charla Vance of Deshler; brother, Christopher Shope of Pedro; maternal grandparents, Tony Cuevas of Deshler and Ninfa Nunez of Leipsic,; paternal grandmother, Marjorie Louise (Olney) Stacy of Pedro; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Dewey Shope.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home and a graveside service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Etna Cemetery with the Rev. Mac Shope officiating.  Judy Machioan

Judy Long Machioan, 61, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at her home in Davidsonville, Md., after a bout with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Howard and Estella Moore Long. Judy graduated from Rock Hill High School in 1968.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Chester and Harold Long; and a sister, Eloise Jenkins.

She is survived by two daughters, Channon Campbell and Lane Heline; three grandchildren; her sisters, Ruth Strong of Cortland, Ruby Mannon of Deering and Lucille Sparks of Ironton; and her brother, Ambrose Long of Proctorville.

 

 Charles Dawson

Charles (Skip) Dawson, 66, of Franklin Furnace, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at his home. He was the husband of Tana M. Hanson Dawson, who survives. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.  Charles Burd

Charles Ray Burd, 76, of Scottown, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at Heartland of Riverview, South Point. Visitation will be held 1 to 2 p.m. today at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. by Pastor Ivan Asbury. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller.
