Obama wants nation to become ‘nanny state’

Published 9:57am Thursday, October 4, 2012

Yes, Obamacare will cover many services for women, but at the expense of your parents who are 65 or older.

To cover these expenses, Obama has cut senior citizens to the tune of $716 billion dollars starting next year, and these same senior citizens have to pay more for their premiums for their drugs, and the co-pays have gone up also.

If you don’t believe me, then just look at the medicare book that is sent to people 65 or older.

My health insurance has gone up and so has all the things that I have mentioned, but our coverage has gone down.

It is fine for our younger generation, but what about the people who worked and paid into the system for more than 45 or 50 years?

I guess we should just forget about them, they are old and don’t deserve anything, even its them who worked day after day, paid taxes, medicare, social security, state taxes. Now that they have retired, lets cut their health care.

Does this seem fair to you that are free loaders?

This is the attitude of the younger generation.

They don’t have to work and earn a living, nor pay for insurance. They want everything given to them because you are you and you deserve it free. When will you get a life and learn that the world doesn’t owe you a living, and never has. I would like a new car every year, but in order to get it I must be willing to pay for it, nobody owes me one.

This mentality is just why the United States is failing as everyone thinks that because we live here we are entitled to everything free.

Well, get a life.

Someone has to pay the bill for everything that we get or will get in the future.

Right now 49 percent of the people pay no taxes, but you are not satisfied with that amount and because Romney said this he has been demonized, well its the truth, and some of that 49 percent even get earned income credit for having children.

Many will not be satisfied until all bills are paid and your groceries are free also, many of you want a “nanny state,” but remember someone has to pay the bills for you. By that time I hope I won’t be here, we have become a gimmy nation not a working nation.

A nanny state is what socialism is all about. So asked yourself do you really want that kind of state to live in where the gov’t takes care of all your needs but at the same time dictates what you can and cannot do. Some are willing to follow this kind of state but bet most americans oppose it.

Geronimo; I found insight in your comments. I particularly liked your comment in regards to “a little more love of all people”. May God Hold You And Your Wife In The Palm Of His Hands

Isn’t this how socialists normally keep the people under control?

I am going to reply to one thing he said. I get the same medicare you do,is hasn’t gone up one dollar since I started getting it. The supplementle, which pays some of the 20% that Medicare doesn’t pay has tripled since I got it,(You know that part you get from private insurance company?) My wifes has nearly trippled.but the doughnut hole has shrunk, and her precriptions on a yearly basis is cheaper.I dropped my suplementle because the premium was costing more than I was paying the Hosp and Drs for the 20%. I get my precriptions and most of me medical needs from the VA,but a few times I’ve ad to use emergency services at KDMC or St Mary’s. I had over 45 years in my profession, before I retired on disability. I went 2 years without income and no welfare, food stamps or free insurance. You see I had to take off work and finally retire , because of a prevous condition.Yes there are cheats and lazy people in every income bracket, but we still need the safety net for our less fortunate citizens. My advise to you “Preacher” is practice a little more love of all people , not just republicans.

Homer Campbell; What is your stand on the Right To Life, Same Sex Marriage and freedom of conscience when it comes to religious beliefs? I don’t recall reading any of your comments on these pertinent issues.

Homer; Something to think about. There is a distinct difference between a “nanny state” and a state that cares for all it’s members. I feel your use of the term “nanny state” is shortsighted and lacking in perspective, of course, this is demonstrated in all your articles. The American Dream is characterized by it’s care and concern for all citizens. But, then again, the term “nanny” is associated with love and concern. Rather apt, don’t you think? Regardless of all the gibberish, yours and mine, we are our brothers keepers, the born and unborn.

Keta: I like to think you’re informed enough to be aware that the president has no connection whatsoever to free cell phones for the poor. Maybe not. I’m pretty sure you’d say it anyway. Republicans are tiresome.

Except it’s not republicans who believe this… It’s Obama supporters:

Outside a Romney campaign event, an unidentified reporter and a woman have this little exchange about why she’s protesting Romney and supporting Obama.

    WOMAN: Obama!

REPORTER: You got an Obama phone?

WOMAN: (screaming) Yes! Everybody in Cleveland, low minorities, got Obama phone. Keep Obama in president, you know? He gave us a phone!

REPORTER: He gave you a phone?

    WOMAN: He gonna do more!

REPORTER: How did he give you a phone?

WOMAN: You sign up. If you’re… If you on food stamps, you on Social Security, you got low income, you disability…

REPORTER: Okay, what’s wrong with Romney, again?

    WOMAN: Romney, he sucks! Bad!

In October 2009, people were in line for money from Obama’s stimulus, and Ken Rogulski went out and talked to ‘em.

    ROGULSKI: Why are you here?

WOMAN #1: To get some money.

    ROGULSKI: What kind of money?

    WOMAN #1: Obama money.

    ROGULSKI: Where’s it coming from?

    WOMAN #1: Obama.
ROGULSKI: And where did Obama get it?

WOMAN #1: I don’t know, his stash. I don’t know. (laughter) I don’t know where he got it from, but he givin’ it to us, to help us.

WOMAN #2: And we love him.

WOMAN #1: We love him. That’s why we voted for him!

WOMEN: (chanting) Obama! Obama! Obama! (laughing)

And then there’s this typical Obama voter:

Millions like her voted… SCRIPT: “It was the most memorable time of my life. It was a touching moment because I never thought this day would ever happen. I won’t have to worry about putting gas in my car. I won’t have to worry about paying my mortgage. You know, if I help him, he’s gonna help me.”

keta-what women really need is Mitt Romney in the Oval Office and a bunch of republican legislators.

The more people that depend on big government to provide their care means that we are becoming a nation that is too lazy to work when they are capable but would rather depend on a handout not a handup. Sad to say but the nation is not the one a lot of real americans with the work ethic that made this into a great nation. Sad we have a president that supports this and attacks anyone that says different along with his barking dog Biden. We have many great americans that really want change but not the kind that of change this president has offered and not delivered.

Yes, Obambi wants to turn us into a nanny state. Just look at the “life of Julia”. Woman just aren’t capable enough to survive without the government to help them…
