Sandra Webb

Sandra Lynn Porter Webb, 65, of Ironton, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at a local health care center. The Catlettsburg, Ky., native was born Feb. 8, 1947, the daughter of Thelma Ruth Meeks Gilliam of Huntington, W.Va., and the late Roscoe Gilliam. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Webb, who passed away May 28, 2009. Sandra was a 1965 graduate of Catlettsburg High School, was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. She was a loving mother and wife.

In addition to her husband and father, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Devona Ruth Porter McKnight; and a nephew, Richard Pennington. In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and David Logan of Grove City; three sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Debbie Porter of Huntington, Bob and Julie Porter of Ashland, Ky. and Dwayne Porter and Chasity Gee of Ironton; a sister, Trish Pennington of Huntington; numerous grandchildren and several special nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at La Grange Cemetery with Brother Aaron Abner officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 12-2 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.

Donald Lee Hayes, 84, of Proctorville, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Hall Funeral Home in Proctorville, with Rev. Jerry Galloway officiating. Burial will be in the Rome-Proctorville Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hall Funeral Home.
