Ironton Foundation to

host benefit tourney

The Ironton City Schools Foundation will host its annual golf outing on Friday at the Bellefonte Country Club.

There will be a shotgun start at 9 a.m. The cost is $100 per person or $500 per team to include a hole sponsorship. All proceeds will go toward scholarships for Ironton students.

Memorial golf scramble

for Pinkerman Oct. 20

The Phil Pinkerman 4-man Memorial Golf Scramble will be held at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Oaks Golf Club in Flatwoods, Ky.

Entry fee is $200. Food will be provided at the course. Anyone interested should contact Mike at (740) 646-9383 or Frank at (740) 547-8519.

 

 

Community Hospice 5K

race set Oct. 20 at OUS

The Community Hospice 3rd Annual Run in Remembrance 5K Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, Oct. 20, beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Ohio University in Ironton.

Long sleeve T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 200 participants.

The mostly flat course will run through the south end of Ironton. Pre-registration is $15 through Oct. 13 and $20 after that day and race day.

Chesapeake 5K race

scheduled for Saturday

The 17th annual Chesapeake Octoberfest 5K race will be held on Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Triangle in Chesapeake. The race begins at 8:30 a.m.

The top male and female finishers receive $50 each. Registration is $20. Interested persons may pre-register by sending an email to Dannie Newman at dnnwm740@frontier.com
