RV knocks off Pointers

BIDWELL — The River Valley Raiders won for the first time in their new stadium with a 43-19 Ohio Valley Conference victory over the South Point Pointers on Friday.

The Raiders (2-7, 1-3) had 257 total yards with 181 coming on the ground. Kyle Brown carried 20 times for 102 yards and a touchdown. Jacob Leach added 49 yards and two scores on 10 carries.

South Point fell to 1-8 overall and 1-3 in the conference.
