Lawrence Skeens

Lawrence Andy Skeens, 98, of Proctorville, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at Hospice House of Huntington, W.Va. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gracie Marie Skeens.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, by Pastor Jerry Galloway. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall

 

 Helen Hurley

Helen Carter Hurley, 99, of Huntington, W.Va., died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake, with Minister Jeff Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. before the service at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.schneidergriffin.com.

 

 James Meadows

James Bernard Meadows, 73, of Proctorville, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, W.Va. He was the husband of Becky Meadows, who survives. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  Laverne Lee

Laverne R. Lee, 60, of Proctorville, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at her residence. Funeral services will be noon Thursday at Young Chapel A.M.E. Church, 840 18th St., Huntington, W.Va., with the Rev. ReLoy F. Gainey Sr. officiating. Entombment will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake, is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.schneidergriffin.com.

 

 James Lease

James Allen Lease, 92, of Burlington, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2012, at his residence. He was the husband of Martha A. Holland Lease, who survives. Funeral services will be noon Thursday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, with Bishop Gary Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens. Visitation is one hour prior to the service. Condolences may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
