As Peter Noone once sang for the group Herman’s Hermits, “This door swings both ways. It’s marked ‘in’ and ‘out.’ ”

The St. Joseph Female Flyers found that door swinging back and forth and they went inside and outside as they beat the Green Lady Bobcats 57-24 on Wednesday.

“Our guards did a nice job scoring. Our inside players didn’t score much, but they took care of business. It was balanced attack,” said St. Joseph coach Nick Miller.

Hannah Miller led the outside scoring with a game-high 25 points. Lynsey Booker scored 13 and Amber Neal had 10 points as three players reached double figures for the Female Flyers.

Bobbie Applegate scored 8 points and Giullia Elli 7 to lead Green (0-2).

Molly and Hannah Miller scored 5 points each in the first quarter as St. Joseph took an 11-5 lead.

Hannah Miller got hot and scored 9 points and Booker had 5 points more as the Female Flyers opened up a 29-13 halftime lead.

Neal and Hannah Miller combined for 9 points in the third quarter as St. Joseph opened up a 42-19 cushion.
