June Drummond

June Price Drummond, 84, of Logan, passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at Bethany Village in Centerville. She was born April 13, 1928, in Coal Grove, daughter of the late James and Bessie Bostick Price. June was the widow of the late F. Harold Drummond.

She was a former teacher, a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Logan, a member of the BPW in Logan and was a member of the Tourists Club.

June is survived by her son, Scott Drummond of Logan; daughter, Marta (Terry) Hopkins Murray of Dayton; grandchildren, Raleigh Hopkins, Phillip Hopkins, Hillary Hopkins and Elizabeth Hopkins; great grandchildren, Olivia Hopkins and Isabella Hopkins and a brother, Gary Price of Minford.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Brian H. Drummond; brothers, Gordon Price, George Price, Charles Price, Jim Price, Jack Price and Archie Price; sisters, Dorlene Wonn, Lucille Savy and an infant sister, Leota Price.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 66 E. Hunter St., Logan, with Rev. Ricci Arthur officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, on today from 5-8 p.m and on Friday, one hour prior to the services at the church.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of June Price Drummond to Immanuel United Methodist Church, 66 E. Hunter St., Logan, OH 43138.

Herman Slaughter

Herman Franklin Slaughter, 88, of Proctorville, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at his home.

Visitation will be at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 900 Washington S. East, Charleston, W.Va. at 11 a.m. Saturday. A memorial service of resurrection and celebration of life will be at noon with the Reverend Monty Brown and Reverend Mark Conner. Hall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Helen Michels

Helen T. Michels of Proctorville, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at home. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home.

 

Jack Rowe

Jack Rowe, 81, of Ironton, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 at a local health care center. He was the husband of Clara Rowe, who survives. Arrangements are pending at Phillips Funeral Home.
