Gladys Jenkins Caldwell, 94 of London, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012. She was born in Ironton, June 11, 1918 to Theodore and Adeline (Blankenship) Van Meter and retired from Orient Developmental Center.
She is survived by daughters Faye Jenkins of London, Glenna (Gene) Humphrey of Columbus and Dorothy (Dick) Rice of Logan; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; sisters Erma Shew and Emogene Brumfield; and brother Harley Van Meter. She was preceded by parents, husband Samuel Caldwell, three brothers and a sister.
Visitation is 10 a.m. Saturday until time of service at noon at Rader-Lynch & Dodds Funeral Home, London. Interment will be in Somerford Township Cemetery. There will be a luncheon following at Red Brick Tavern, U.S 40.
Helen Miller
Helen D. Miller 87 of Lancaster, formerly of Ironton, died Tuesday Dec. 4, 2012, at the Crestview Nursing Home in Lancaster. Private graveside services will be conducted 1:30 p.m. Monday at Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Kenova American Legion Post 93.
Ada Eertmoed
Ada Eertmoed, 87, of Ironton, died Friday, Dec. 7. 2012, at a local health care center. Arrangements are pending at Phillips Funeral Home.
