Further details of the incident were not available by press time. Attempts to contact Davidson were unsuccessful.
Davidson is scheduled for an arraignment this afternoon in Ironton Municipal Court.

all, subsequently released , witch means he didn’t do the three hrs in jail like everybody else has too do. this is a big sham to let one of their own walk for driving drunk. should we have thought any different? this guy deserves every bit of time they can give him, just like what he does too everybody else, but i bet he doesn’t any.

Another solution would be impound the vehicle for 6 months first offense. Second offense, confiscate vehicle, sell it and add money to tax base. No matter who owns the vehicle.
Additionl to existing charges.

I do not know Mr. Davidson and this is not personal. But what part of “Don’t Drink and Drive” do we (as a society) do not understand? We have elected officials, police officers, and sports stars repeatedly in the news for this behavior. It is time for the maximum penalty on the FIRST offense for this crime. Those with money have charges reduced. Judges allow “workers’ privileges” and put these drivers back on the road. Take away driving privileges THE FIRST TIME. NO EXCEPTIONS. And for he sake of innocents on the road, if you drink CALL A CAB.

Mr. Davidson was not driving. How can you get arrested for OVI when you are not driving? Read the article.
Why were there 3 crusiers crusing the parking lot of the Knights of Columbus during the Policemans Ball taking down plate numbers. They were targeting the Ironton Police Department. There were no cruisers on 52 the night of the Ball. They were parked at the Hallmark lot and on 3rd St. working a 4 hour overtime shift because of the ball.

If he was not actually driving, he had every intention of doing so. (Had he called a cab and was waiting… don’t think so.)NOTHING can justify driving under the influence. Thank the Good Lord the OSP got him before an accident.

p.s. how did he get from 3rd st. to Mimosa without driving? Do not make excuses for bad behavior.
