Ceremony was tremendous honor for POWPublished 10:27am Tuesday, December 11, 2012
Thanks to South Point Village officials and all employees for the honor given me at the dedication of the boat dock and including a plaque with my name, WWII and former POW.
This was a great honor to be remembered by you and the good people of South Point village.
Also, I wish to thank Tim Morrison of the VA Hospital in Huntington for the annual POW service honoring all POWs.
I look forward to this service each year. Thank you, Mr. Morrison and your fine staff and all employees for fine treatment and smiles.

Stealing from graves is truly despicable act
Once again the thieves are stealing from the dead in Woodland Cemetery. They stole the Christmas flowers from my mother and step dad’s grave across from the Veterans Memorial.
The difference is this time they were seen.
Two blonde headed women, one around 60 and one in her 20s, in a newer model silver car were seen removing them from the headstone. These flowers were wired on trying to discourage the thieves.
It has been reported and the description given to the authorities. It is my opinion that you cannot be any lower than to steal from the dead. God knows who you are and you will answer to him someday. My mother will always have flowers on her grave until I meet her in Heaven.
