Oaks use trifectas to get by Vikings

OAK HILL — The Oak Hill Oaks dialed long-distance to remain unbeaten.

The Oaks hit seven 3-point goals as they beat the Symmes Valley Vikings 58-48 in a non-league game on Tuesday.

Garrin Stiltner had 19 points including three triples to lead the Oaks (3-0). Kyle Love had a pair of treys and scored 14 points. Drew Haislop scored 13 including a trey.

Tyler Rowe scored 15 points and D.J. Miller had 10 points to lead the Vikings (1-3).

Oak Hill led 16-7 after the first quarter and it was 37-25 at the half.

The Vikings cut the deficit to 48-40 after three quarters but the Oaks managed to hold on for the win.

Symmes Valley visits Portsmouth Clay on Friday in a league game.
