Lady Pointers rally on 3-pointers

SOUTH POINT — The South Point Lady Pointers were behind, so they went behind the arc.

Trailing most of the game, the Lady Pointers hit 10 3-point goals as they rallied in the fourth quarter to beat the Gallipolis Blue Angels 43-38 on Monday.

South Point (4-4) trailed 12-9 after the first quarter, 22-15 at the half and 30-26 after three quarters. The Lady Pointers outscored Gallipolis 17-8 in the fourth quarter to win.

Abbey Winkler scored 18 pionts including four 3-pointers. Aundrea Bradburn scored 10 points with all three of her field goals from behind the arc.

Brianna Whaley, Brianna Bacon and Haley Rawlins also had a trey for South Point.

Kendra Barnes scored 12 points and Micah Curfman 11 to lead Gallipolis (2-5).
