Connie Brown

Connie Sue Gore Brown, 57, of Kitts Hill, passed away Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at the St. Mary’s Medical Center Ironton Campus.

The Ironton native was born Sept. 17, 1955, the daughter of the late John William “Bill” and Sena Eloise McCoy Gore. Ms. Brown was a graduate of Rock Hill High School. She was an educational aide for the Rock Hill School District and a foster parent for the Children’s Sanctuary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Gore. She is survived by the father of her two children, Mike “Dog” Brown; daughter and son-in-law, Robyn and Wes Sites of Huntington, W.Va.; daughter and son-in-law, Nici and Brent Cooper of Oak Hill; grandchildren, Maccoy Brown, Meghan Brown both of Huntington, Conley Cooper and Landon Cooper both of Oak Hill; two brothers, James Gore and wife, Kathy and Scott Gore and his wife, D.J., all of Kitts Hill; two sisters, Rita Morena and her husband, Ray of Pinehurst, N.C. and Florence Ruggles and her husband, Gerald of Hanging Rock; and two special friends, Becky Blizzard of Franklin Furnace and Nancy Smith of Ironton.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home with Dr. Kevin Bloomfield officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.

 

Willa Burcham

Willa Dean Burcham, 79, of Proctorville, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at home. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home.

 

Rebecca Hutchinson

Rebecca Lee Hutchinson, 69, of Huntington, W.Va., died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She is the wife of Earl Hutchinson, who survives. There will be no services. Arrangements are by Hall Funeral Home.
