Two Lawrence County men were injured after the driver lost control of a vehicle on County Road 4 Wednesday night.

The vehicle driven by John Robinson, 32, of Waterloo, struck a concrete culvert approximately four miles east of State Route 93 at 9:55 p.m.

Christopher D. Blevins, 29, also of Waterloo, was a passenger in the vehicle.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Robinson was cited for failure to control and not wearing a safety belt. Blevins was also cited for not wearing a safety belt.

Both were transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va. Blevins was transported by emergency medical services while Robinson was transported by helicopter according to an OSHP official.

The accident report does not list weather conditions as a factor in the accident.

Sharon Shaw, St. Mary’s public relations manager, said Robinson and Blevins were in stable condition.
