Ironton HOF dinner

tickets to go on sale

Tickets for the first Ironton Athletic Hall of Fame dinner and induction ceremonies will go on sale Tuesday at the Ironton High School Auto Shop and Iron City Hardware.

The dinner will be held at approximately 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, in the high school cafeteria.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 the day of the dinner. Tickets are good for admission to the Ironton Hall of Fame Basketball Shootout.

The Shootout has the Fairland Lady Dragons playing the Ashland Kittens at 2 p.m., the Ironton Lady Fighting TIgers face the South Point Lady Pointers at 3:45, and the Ironton boys against Akron Buchtel at 5:30 p.m.

banquet set Jan. 16

PORTSMOUTH — The ninth annual Portsmouth Murals Baseball Banquet will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 16, at the Friends Community Center, 1202 18th Street.

The reception will be at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 7 p.m.

Tickets are available by calling (740) 353-7647.

The dinner features many famous Major League Baseball players and personnel including former Reds’ pitcher Don Gullett and long-time Reds’ scout Gene Bennett.
