Leora Carmon

Leora Evangeline Carmon, 90 of Pedro, passed away Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Heartland of Jackson. The Lawrence County native was born Sept. 4, 1922, the daughter of the late Elbert and Mary Belva Morgan Rodgers. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Ohmer Stoneroad and Raymond “Mack” Carmon.

Mrs. Carmon attended Dayton City School and was homemaker. She was a member of Campbell Chapel Freewill Baptist Church where she taught the pre-school class for many years.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she is preceded in death by a son-in-law, Danny Hall; a sister, Elsie Jones; a brother, Glendon Rodgers; and a stepdaughter, Marilyn Weiss.

She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Beverly and John Lance of Jackson, and Linda Hall of Ironton; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Stoneroad of Ironton, and David and Leela Stoneroad of Ironton; a sister, Waneta Van Austine of Michigan; five brothers: Elbert Rodgers Jr. of Tennessee, Gary Rodgers of Dayton, Dallas Rodgers of Florida, Raymond Rodgers of Dayton, and Dale Rodgers of Dayton; two stepdaughters, Connie and Steve Miller of Pedro and Andrea Murphy of Coal Grove; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with the Rev. Bob Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Lucy Dickerson

Lucy Ellen Rogers Dickerson, 94, of Wheelersburg, passed away Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at SOMC in Portsmouth. The Lawrence County, Ky., native was born Oct. 16, 1918, the daughter of the late Tom and Sarah Stewart Rogers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Dickerson.

Mrs. Dickerson was a graduate of Decatur High School and was a self-employed beautician for many years. She was a member of the Rose Hill Baptist Church in Ashland, Ky.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Rogers and Elizabeth Dunaway; and two brothers, Ralph Rogers and Clifford Rogers.

She is survived by a son, Dale Dickerson of Eden Park; two grandchildren, Chase Dickerson of Columbus, and Parker Dickerson of Wheelersburg; a sister, Anna Mae Hillman of Ashland, Ky.; and a brother, George Rogers of Ironton.

Ann Mullen

Ann Gail Mullen, 86, of Huntington, W.Va., died Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, in Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, W.Va. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Mary Miller

Mary Ellen Miller, 68, of Chesapeake, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at her residence. She is survived by her husband, Chester H. Miller.
