Junior Flyers advance

to tournament finals

The St. Joseph Junior Flyers beat the Huntington St. Joseph Fighting Irish 50-43 on Thursday in the semifinals of the annual Middle School Catholic Tournament.

The tournament is part of Catholic Schools’ Week.

Chase Walters led the Junior Flyers with 20 points and Joey Bush scored 12 points. Payton Adkins scored 9 points, Trey Neal 6 and Clay Willis had 2 points.

John Morrison scored 21 and Chad Dye 14 for the Irish.

The Flyers will play in the finals at 2:30 p.m. Saturday against the winner of Our Lady of Fatima and Holy Family.
