Keith Malone

Sept. 6, 1963 — Feb. 5, 2012

 

Keith Jeffrey Malone, 49, of Pedro, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. The Ironton native was born Sept. 6, 1963, the son of Mary Inez Campbell Malone of Ironton and the late Joseph Harold Malone.

Mr. Malone was a graduate of Rock Hill High School and was a self-employed construction worker for 20 years.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of Cannons Creek E.U.B. Church in Pedro and enjoyed fishing.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Melanie Horner of Wheelersburg and Melissa Jenkins and her husband, Kevin, of Ironton; two sons, Zack Wilson and his wife, Lindsey, of Statesboro, Ga. and Keith Ryan Malone and his fiancée, Kaylee Hoy, of Harpster; a sister, Kathy Kelley and her husband, Randy, of Ironton; two brothers, Donald Ray Malone of Ironton and Randy Malone and his wife, Michelle, of Pedro; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Knipp and Pastor Matthew Mayhew officiating. Burial will follow in Slabfork Cemetery with military graveside rites by the VFW Post 8850. Louise Daihl

May 10, 1931 — Feb. 2, 2013

 

Louise M. Crace Barnett Daihl, 81, passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law Joan and James Mullins in Wauseon. Louise was born May 10, 1931, to Clarence and Mittie Jane Blanton Crace in Lawrence County.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ray Arthur Barnett and her second husband, Galen Leroy Daihl; a son, Kevin Barnett; a daughter, Vonda Kay Barnett; sisters, Flotella Justice, Sue Siders and Coleta Thomas; and brothers, Burl Crace and John Crace.

She is survived by her children, Joan (James) Mullins of Wauseon, Larry (Beth) Barnett of Kitts Hill, Vickie Malone of Ironton, Daniel Barnett of Plain City, Greg (Dawnetta) Barnett of Grove City, Tammy (Phil) Whitesed of Hilliard and Rayene Mullins of Columbus; brother, Gene Crace of Franklin Furnace; sisters, Mary McNeil of Nashville, Tenn., and Gloria (Everett) Jenkins of Kitts Hill; 26 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

Louise was a member of Woodland Chapel Freewill Baptist Church of Ironton and attended Calvary Baptist Church of Delta. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Tidd Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard. Burial will be in Forest Grove Cemetery, Plain City.

 

 

Shannon Felty

July 1, 1958 — Feb. 6, 2013

 

Shannon Edward Felty, 54, of Coal Grove, formerly of Flatwoods, Ky., died after a long battle with cancer and emphysema on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky.

He was born July 1, 1958 in Grayson, Ky., a son of Hershell and Janice Justice Miller and the late Bertis Felty.

He was also preceded in death by a precious son, Garrett Felty in 2002, his grandparents Edward and Lora Blevins Felty, Edward and Bertha Reeves Justice. Shannon was named for both grandfathers.

Shannon was a member of the first sophomore class at the new Greenup County High School in 1974 and was a 1976 graduate.

He retired from CSX after working at the Raceland, Huntington, and Russell Shops as machinist and pipefitter.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his longtime companion Cheryl Waller and her daughter Brittany; one daughter Andrea (Warren Crouch) Felty grandson Dylan Crouch Salt Lick, Ky.; one stepson Wayne Floyd and stepgrandchildren Cameron and Kacie Grayson, Ky.; two sisters Anita Felty Woodrum Huntington, W.Va. and Bobbie Felty Clevenger Raceland, Ky.; one nephew Daniel Clevenger; three nieces Abby Clevenger, Amy (Tim) Moore and Lauren (Jerry McComas) Oney.

He also leaves behind a host of many friends, including a friend he loved like a brother, Wayne Gehringer.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Brother Marvin Perry. Burial will be in the Smith-Claxon Cemetery, Argillite, Ky.

Rosemary Davidson

Rosemary Miller Davidson, 93, of South Point, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at home. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at South Point United Methodist Church with funeral services to follow. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Gardens in South Point. Patty Lou Fulks Morgan

June 22, 1927 — Feb. 5, 2013

 

Patty Lou Fulks Morgan, 85, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at her residence. The Platform, Ohio, native was born June 22, 1927, the daughter of the late John William Fulks and Gladys C. Wall Fulks Brammer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe D. Morgan.

Mrs. Morgan was a graduate of Rome High School and a former secretary for Harmon Motor Sales for 15 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of the Ironton Metropolitan Housing Authority, Lawrence County Democratic Executive Committee, Lawrence County Jury Selection Board and a Central Committeewoman for 3E precinct. She was of the Protestant faith.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, C. Mitchell Morgan; and two brothers, John William Fulks and Donovan Leroy Fulks.

She is survived by a daughter, Pattie Jo Patrick of South Point; a son, Roger Morgan of Franklin Furnace; a daughter, Carla June Webb and her husband Paul of Ironton; a sister, Ruth Fulks Miller and her husband Fred of Columbus; granddaughters, Morgan Lynn Webb of Columbus, Rachel Marie Webb, Sarah Ann Webb, Samantha Morgan Gallian and her husband Steven, all of Ironton; sisters-in-law, Barbara Cooper Fulks of Gallipolis and Geneva Bennett Fulks Patrick of Athalia.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, 518 S. Sixth St., Ironton, Ohio with the Rev. Dean Fulks officiating.
