Wanda Eaches

Wanda J. Eaches, 78, of South Point, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013 at King’s Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Ky. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point with Pastor Trent Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.

Wanda was born Nov. 17, 1934, in Ironton, a daughter of the late Gerald and Garnet Summers Rowe. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, David Akers. She was of the Baptist faith.

Wanda is survived by her husband of 62 years, Harley Richard (Dick) Eaches; two children, Mark Allen (Susan) Eaches of South Point and Terri J. (John) Hansen of Wheelersburg; one sister, Cynthia (Paul) Bullion of Marion; one brother, Don (Janet) Akers of Marion; five grandchildren, Chris Davis, Jason (Christy) Eaches, Justin Eaches, Amy Hansen and Andy (Nicole) Hansen; two great grandchildren, Braelyn Eaches and Addison Hansen; a sister-in-law, Louise Akers of Marion; and aunt, Mary Rice of Marion.

Mary Morgan

Mary Elizabeth “Tinky” Morgan, 91, of Ironton passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at a local health care center. The Ironton native was born April 24, 1921, the daughter of the late Patrick Thomas and Hazel Butler Galvin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Morgan, who passed away March 13, 2003.

Mrs. Morgan attended St. Lawrence School, was a homemaker and a member of the St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church in Ironton.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Georgianna Goodall; and a brother, Donald Patrick Galvin.

She is survived by son, William P. Morgan of Coal Grove; son, Michael T. Morgan of Ironton; a daughter: Deborah Ann McCabe of Ironton; two sisters, Rosalie Pyles of Newark and Nora Kathleen Lawless of Ironton; seven grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home with Father David Huffman officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery and visitation will be Monday from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Marjorie Long

Marjorie Long, 87, of Mason, formerly of Ashland, Ky., died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at the Mason Health Care Center, Mason. A service for the family will be noon Monday at Woodland Cemetery with Brother Chad Pemberton officiating.

Roger Schwab

Roger D. Schwab, 62, of Greenup, Ky., died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at his residence. He was the husband of Pam Willis Schwab, who survives. Funeral will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, Ky., with minister Paul Neal officiating.

Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East. Military Rites will be performed by American Legion Post 93 in Kenova, W.Va. Visitation is 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
